David is Madison's father, and works in the GLA. He and Deborah divorced nearly fifteen years ago, and he remarried five years later. He and his wife have two children, a pair of boys who, while they don't have Maddie's temper, do have something of the look of her in the length of their noses and their tangled curls.
He's a good father to all three of them - he keeps in touch with Maddie as religiously, if not as often, as his ex-wife. Every Sunday, they chat or text a brief update. He has some small amount of clout in London, and will happily pull it if he's worried. He'll never do favours for his daughter (that would be wrong) - but if he thinks she's in trouble, he will make himself a nuisance till he knows she's okay.
