Eric is originally from Greenland and he'd like to be very clear with you that the name is a lie. Greenland is ice and rock and snow and, if you're lucky, ice. The weather matches the terrain, but, to be honest, the fjords are very pretty.
Eric is a bit dour. By trade he's a blacksmith and has worked for the Svartalfar on occasion. He will tell you that blacksmiths have to be serious men, as one cannot be casual with steel or silver. He finds that a good rule for life, as anything that is precious should be given deep and serious respect. Likewise, a good blade or hammer is not made without toil or sweat and, quite often, injury, and blood, and burns. Things of worth are like this. We must work at things nd must accept pain along the way if we expect them to succeed. The old gods knew this; it was true in Odin's time - it is true in ours.
He has come to the White Horse for serious purpose. And, as the Allfather is his guide, he expects to succeed.
